Oh how I wish!
Oh how I wish!
..says almost every kitchen in Northwest Greensboro right now - if it hasn't already been renovated. Do you remember the "Tuscan Kitchen" era? It was the early 2000s when Henson Forest, Polo Farms and Lake Jeanette were booming with new construction. Everyone had grapes and ivy draped across their kitchen cabinets. Backsplashes were tumbled travertine and dark cabinets were heavily adorned with decorative appliqués. Design trends have changed dramatically to a much more minimalist look. Dark, intricate architecture is now being replaced with clean lines and colors.
In this kitchen project, we were able to save most of the cabinets by refacing and refinishing them. The results were incredible and I’m so happy to say that we saved our savvy clients nearly 40k on this remarkable transformation!
I must say, I was a bit confused when our clients, recently relocated from Europe, asked us to replace their traditional mouldings with square blocks. The Crown and Light Rail were customized to align clean and straight across the face of the new beveled shaker doors. The result was so much better than I imagined it would be.
