Celebrating 4 Years with Mod Society!
I can honestly say that this room really presented a significant challenge for us, especially because it wasn’t originally designed and prepared to accommodate a high gloss lacquer finish. The sheetrock walls and trim required an extensive amount of repair and attention during the preparation process to achieve the desired look.
Here’s a shot of the freshly lacquered walls after the final coat was meticulously applied, showcasing the rich and vibrant color along with the smooth texture for which we worked tirelessly for countless (just kidding, I counted) hours to achieve.
Once the walls were meticulously finished, our clients reached out to express their enthusiasm, indicating that they would like to include the ceiling in the project as well! This request presented an additional layer of challenges for our team, because, just like the walls, the ceiling was not originally scoped to be lacquered. As a result, we needed to undertake many layers of priming, sanding, skimming, and re-priming to achieve a surface that was smooth enough for the high-gloss lacquer treatment that we had envisioned.
